Cross Stitch Wishes with a Burst!

I LOVE the Starburst trend flying all over the paper crafting world! At first I was very intimidated by it until a friend sent me a tutorial to show me how I could easily create starbursts on my art as well! After creating a few projects I decided that I could add a few additional tips and short cuts so I created my own tutorial last spring { HERE }.

I started creating with my January Stamp of the Month, Cross Stitch Wishes and decided to break out the Starburst again!

This stamp set is just Darling! I've only begun playing with it!

I used my ALL TIME Favorite paper collection - Sarita! I paired it with the Wooden Mini Medley Collection as well. I think the card turned out SUPER Cute! :)

And even gave a Burst to the inside! :)

I'm pretty thrilled that Close to My Heart is allowing us some 'Double Dipping' this month!

Did you know that you can place any order of $35 from the Autumn/Winter Idea book and qualify to purchase the 'Cloud 9' Card Kit Promotion for only $15?....those purchases total $50 and you will then be able to use that amount to get your hands on the Discounted 'Cross Stitch Wishes' Stamp set for only $5! Okay, so that was a Huge Run-on sentence but you get the idea! :)

Also don't forget that I'm giving each of my January Hostesses an additional $20 in Hostess rewards from me!I set up your online Close to My Heart Gathering today! :)

3rd one's a CHARM!

Here's #3 in my Upcoming Sartia 4 Layout Workshop! :)

Isn't this little Sweetpea the cutest?! This is my childhood best friend's daughter Crosslyn Raye. :)

This workshop will be featuring the Small Flip Assortment! My favorite part about this layout is that it holds 13 Photos! WHOOT! Each of the 3X3 photos wells are using a 3X3 flip flap, which means you can 'house' a photo on the backside of the one shown as well as another underneath the 'flap'.  If you'd rather, either space can be used as journaling area instead of additional photos. :)

I am SO EXCITED about this workshop! I've been working on the cutting diagram for what seems like FOREVER! It is coming along well juts taking a while.  I can't wait to offer it to you!

Did you miss my previous posts on the other two layouts featured in this workshop?

I LOVE THEM! I'll share the 4th Layout soon! It is Darling!

Thanks for joining me for a short post!
Blessings Friends!

Annnnnnnd Another one....

Another layout that is! Yesterday I shared one of the layouts I created for my (4) Layout Sarita WOTG Workshop....Here's another one. :)

I am SO DISAPPOINTED with my photos (again)....they are so drab! They do not do this paper justice! It is CRAZY BRIGHT!

In all (4) of my layouts for this workshop the PINK can easily be substituted!

Don't let the Baby Pictures fool you! This paper is the furthest from baby you will find...it just happened to work with with the pictures I had just received from my friend. :)

And of Course.....my Favorite part once again...Flip Flaps! :) This Layout holds 15 Photos! :)

I'm working tirelessly on getting my cutting guide completed for these pages! Stay tuned to see the remaining 2 sets. :)

Thank you again for joining me!
Your are such a Blessing! Sus

Along with my other projects going on right now I've been working like crazy on my next big Workshop project....(4) Layouts using the Sarita Workshop on the Go Kit and one of my favorite products...Flip Flaps! I'm sharing one of those layouts with you today! The rest are on their way! :)

As you, most likely already know, the Sarita Workshop on the Go Kit comes with the Sarita Level 2 Paper Pack, 3 extra sheets of cardstock, the Sarita Embellishment Assortment, Natural Hemp, and the exclusive Stamp Set (which happens to be my favorite set at the moment).

I have added in a few extra sheets of Colonial White Cardstock, the Small Flip Flap assortment, and the tiny type Epoxy Alphabet to create this Darling Workshop!

One of my favorite parts of this layout (other than my Sweet Niece) is that is holds up to 16 Photos! YES, 16!

The Flip Flaps are basically clear 'flaps' that adhere directly to your layout or on top of your page protector....each 'flap' Houses a photo on the top, then on the backside of the flap, and then underneath the 'flap'...so with each single flip flap you can house (3) photos or have space for hidden journaling or memorabilia. I am waiting for my sister to edit a few more pictures of my niece and will then fill all of my spaces! :)

I can't wait to share with you the remaining (3) Layouts...I'm knee deep in cutting guides for this workshop and am so excited to be able to offer it to you soon! :)

Thank you for joining me today!
Blessings, Sus

Just A Little Love & Hugs

Just a Little Love & Hugs with my BFF at the moment, Sarita!

I just LOVE how this card turned out....It's so eclectic Looking...a little bit of this, little bit of that! :)

I used the Card Pattern #20 from the Make it From Your Heart 'How-to' Book....Easy as can be! No wasted paper whatsoever! Whoot!

And of course, gotta have a little 'somethin' somethin'' on the inside to match! :)

I used some of my Favorite Embellishments for this card!! Teal Base & Bling Assortment, Sartia Embellishment Assortment, and the Base & Bling Metal Flowers! (Especially love these)

See, a little bit of this and a little bit of that add up to make a powerful punch to your paper crafting! :)

Thank you for joining me again today...short and sweet, just the way we like it! :)

A Sweet Artiste Matchbox!

Okay, so you already know I'm TOTALLY on a SARITA kick right now! Of all the 3-D projects I've created the past few months this takes the CAKE!....errr....Nuggets! It takes the NUGGETS, not cake!!

I Love the Hershey Nuggets! Well, I actually don't love to EAT them, but I REALLY love to create with them! it's my buds who love to EAT THEM! :) Did you know that they are the easiest thing to 'pretty up'?! Yeah! Just a 1" X 3" piece of (scrap) piece of paper (or cardstock) and a bit of adhesive is all it takes!  Here is another project & Tutorial I did not long ago using the Hershey Nuggets! Unfortunately the kit is sold out but you can still enjoy the artwork and tutorial! :)

Alright...getting down to business! Have you ever created the Matchbox cut from the CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection

It is the most darling little box ever! and SO EASY! My favorite size to cut is at 4.25"....why, you ask? First of all, my thriftiness always kicks in...it's the perfect size to get (2) to a page of Cardstock! That's right...at that size you can cut (2) Box cuts on 1 piece and (2) 'Slide wrap' Cuts on 1 piece.  (I have no idea what the technical terms are for those, that's 'Studio Sus' language) So...getting (2) full boxes from (2) different patterned (if desired) sheets of cardstock is always a great thing, and second, this size is PERFECT for (9) Hershey Nuggets!! Did I mention I love them? Okay..moving on!

I mean, really...how cute is that?! Don't tell me you wouldn't love to come to work and see this pretty little package sitting on your desk?! :)

So, I cut my box from Outdoor Denim Cardstock and wanted a coordinating B&T Cardstock for my 'Wrap'....I love the Aztec-ish Damask (yes, that is really how I refer to it) Bright print from the Sarita MyReflections kit!

Now, I did sit and ponder for a bit what to do with the top....luckily...some GENIUS at Close to My Heart thought it would be a fantastic idea to create MATCHING TEXTILES!

Um...YES, Please! I created a Darling Rosette type cluster and adhered it to the top of my box! This technique is SO SUPER SIMPLE! In fact I have a tutorial on how to create it  included with my latest Sarita True-Fit Folio Workshop.....if you have not read my previous posts concerning this workshop CLICK HERE to see what I am offering for the small price of $20 plus shipping to you. :)  Can you tell my mind is wandering today? So...I created my cluster of fabric and adhered one of the Gems from the Teal Base & Bling Collection to the top! and OF COURSE you see again my very favorite embellishment CTMH offers....threads from my Burlap Ribbon!
I needed a sentiment and grabbed my stamp sets that are included with my Artiste Bundle (Yes, there are 3 stamp sets included as well as 3 packages of chipboard...all with coordinating cricut images!)

My favorite stamp image from the Artiste Bundle is the 'Hope your Birthday's as Sweet as You'! Sweet....Chocolate...Who's Cleaver now? :)

Okay, so maybe my matchbox it isn't as obnoxiously Wonderful as I let on but Hey, we're allowed to LOVE our own art, right?!

I love the my Artiste Cartridge, I hope you love yours! Before I go I'll share a few older Matchboxes that I had loaded onto my computer. :)

Here is one from Christmas Last year....:)

And here's another one from one of my January 2013 Workshops.....

Inspiration from Jody Gustafson

I actually cut a transparency for the slide on this one so you could see the stamped Nuggets inside! :)

Thank you for Joining me again today! It Just BLESSES MY SOCKS OFF when you show up!

Happy Friday Everyone! Sus
